Welcome to Operator's manual

Introduction

The Operator's manual describes how to install and configure OSIE and its dependencies on your own infrastructure. Once OSIE is installed, you should follow the Administrator's manual to learn how to setup OSIE for your business, by configuring the billing system, adding your first OpenStack region, and much more.

Table of contents

  1. Identity management - how OSIE authenticates users: identity realms, federated identity providers, and OpenStack access.
  2. Install on Kubernetes - using the official helm chart provided by us.
  3. Install on Docker Compose - single-machine installation with the interactive installer.
  4. OpenStack notifications - (recommended) improve the realtime experience in OSIE by enabling the OpenStack notifications.
  5. Keystone federation - let users authenticate to OpenStack through single sign-on backed by OSIE's identity realms.
