Osie 24.3.0 – image categories & instance metrics
We are pleased to announce the new Osie release which includes some exciting features to enhance the experience of your customers.
New features
Image Categories
A new concept of “Image Categories” was introduced useful to separate different kind of images such as: “Operating Systems” or “1-Click Apps”.
Categories will be displayed as separate tabs on the server creation page.
Each category will then contain a set of “Image Groups”, where each Image Group represent an actual Image with its versions (i.e Debian 10, 11, 12).
Instance monitoring charts
If Ceilometer and Gnocchi were enabled in your OpenStack cloud, you can choose to display instance monitoring to the customers, allowing them to easily monitor metrics such as CPU, memory, network traffic, disk.
This feature has to be enabled from the admin portal. Please follow the documentation for enabling it.
Improvements
- (Admin) Image Categories and Images Groups management was simplified and moved to their dedicated section in the Settings area. Previously, they were located at the Cloud Provider level.
- You can now specify custom logo URLs for the images
